The research activities of the URPP Asia and Europe seek to further informed and reasonable debates and problem solving and to contribute to an understanding of social and political realities that is sensitive to the manifold historical contingencies. We therefore organize public lectures on a regular basis, offer various lecturing and advisory servicesto the broad public as well as expertise to the media, and annually award a prize for excellent baccalaureate theses.
